RECIPE COST TOOL

OVERVIEW

The Recipe Cost Tool includes two forms: the Recipe Cost form and the Arrangement Pricing form.

The Recipe Cost form allows you to create and save a detailed floral recipe. This includes the subtotal cost of each flower, the total floral recipe cost (wholesale cost) and the total stem count of the recipe.

You enter each particular flower or foliage and indicate whether you purchase them by single stems or by bunches.

If you purchase the flower by Bunches, you need to indicate the number of flowers in the bunch, the cost of the bunch and how many of the flowers in the bunch are used in the recipe.

If you purchase the flower by Single Stems, you simply indicate the number of stems used in the recipe and the cost per stem.

You have the option to note the Flower Type for each flower used in the recipe. If a particular flower is no longer available, the Flower Type will help you find a replacement flower.

The Arrangement Pricing form allows you to quickly calculate the retail price of the arrangement after you have completed the recipe. The Total Flower Cost from the Recipe Cost form is automaticlly transferred to the Arrangement Pricing form. You simply complete filling out the Arrangement Pricing form to calculate the Retail Price.

You can also apply a percent increase or decrease to the Total Flower Cost (wholesale) to account for potential price fluctuations, due to seasonal availability changes or last-minute flower substitutions.

The Recipe Cost Tool automatically calculates:

  • The subtotal cost of each flower or foliage (wholesale)

  • The total cost for all the flowers in the recipe (wholesale)

  • The total stem count of each flower and total stem count for the entire recipe

  • The Retail Price of the arrangement

The Tool provides the following functionality:

  • Print a paper copy

  • Create PDF for sharing or recordkeeping

  • Save the form data entered into the Recipe Cost Tool in order to Load (automatically reenters) the form data to amend as needed

To access the Recipe Cost Tool you must have a subscription to the Free Trial or a paid subscription to the Monthly or Semi-Annual Plan
